Anthony A Davies Ltd began as a sole trader in 1980 when Anthony set up a joinery shop in Nantgavenny Lane, Abergavenny. His reputation grew and he brought on board a small number of reliable sub-contractors to help him produce and then fit the Bespoke Joinery.
In 1988 his Wife joined him as a partner in the business, which by then had a small number of permanently employed operatives.
In 1997 the partnership became a limited company, Registered in England and Wales, Registered Company Number, 03354301, Registered Office: Lanyon House, Mission Court, Newport, NP20 2DW. The company carries out Carpentry, Bespoke Joinery, Restoration and Grant Work.
In 1988 made a commitment to Investors in People Standard and was then employing 17 people.
In 1999 the company moved to larger premises in a purpose built manufacturing unit which enabled it to have a more efficient manufacturing production, superior spraying facilities, showroom and storage & office space from which to run it's restoration/small build part of the business.
In March 2000, it achieved the Investors in People Standard, having by then employed 27 employees.
In September 2000 Anthony A Davies Construction Limited was formed as a subsidiary to Anthony A Davies Limited.
In January 2006 the Anthony A Davies Group of companies employs 73 direct employees and works with a very large base of reliable and competent Sub-Contractors.
