Bryn Garth
A grade II listed farmhouse which was in a dilapidated state and in need of complete refurbishment.
A two storey extension to incorporate a larger kitchen, utility room and stairwell to ground floor & 2 additional bedrooms to 1st floor. The roof timbers were refurbished & re-slated in Chinese slate & flat roof areas were covered in Code 5 lead work using traditional methods.
Where possible, the existing box frame windows were repaired & refurbished. Where new box frame windows were required, these were manufactured by our in-house joinery workshop.
The kitchen & utility rooms were tiled using hand made clay quarry tiles, the slate worktops and aga cooker give the kitchen a traditional ambience. The decorative columns are hand made out of Accoya timber.
The ground floor consists of dining room, large kitchen, sitting room, drawing room, utility room and hallway with bespoke stairs.
The first floor consists of five bedrooms three bathrooms and large landing with balcony viewing.
The ornate Arches & column piers are in keeping with this period house. The finish to this particular property both internally and externally is of a very high standard. The external work consisted of stone built walls, stone slab patio’s and paths, turfed lawned areas and a tarmac drive.
The detached barn was re-roofed and the stone work rebuilt as required. The timber barn doors were renewed and internally a concrete floor laid.
Our tradesmen are certainly proud of the work they have carried out on this prestigious project.
